Update on the BC ATUS Survey

The second wave of the survey is now resumed and we will continue collecting data until March 31 2025.

Due to the recent Canada Post strike, we were unable to send all our mail invitations on-time; hence, could not complete the survey as originally planned by December 22. As a result, we had decided to temporarily pause the survey on December 22, and resume in February 2025.

We are extremely sorry for any inconveniences this may caused. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us: uitr.lab@ubc.ca

The second iteration of 2024 BC ATUS Survey will begin in November. Participants from the 2023 survey will receive and email and/or sms message inviting them to participate in this years survey. New respondents can register to participate. All participants be eligible for this years prize draw, as well as the mobile app survey.

Researchers from the University of British Columbia in partnership with Environment and Climate Change Canada are conducting this study to better understand travel and in-home/online activity patterns in the Okanagan and Metro Vancouver regions. The findings will shed light on understanding the benefits and challenges associated with new opportunities such as work-from-home, online shopping and vehicle electrification, and assist in transportation planning and infrastructure investment decisions to reduce traffic congestion and GHG emissions. If you have any questions or need further details, please contact the principal investigator, Dr. Mahmudur Fatmi, at uitr.lab@ubc.ca.
